presentation tomorrow eeeeeeeeeek!!

i really don't know what is expected for us to display tomorrow!!!! i don't have a group or my image on a disk.. too poor at the moment to even purchase one! so hopefully my usb or my school x drive will be ok to set it up??? don't know what we have to say in our presentation tomorrow either!!! stressing out today, coz so busy with essay and photography!!
anyway here is a new photoshop image, think i should display this one tomorrow as my final remix because the last three images i used for photography exhibition. dunno how teachers feel about using same work in two dif classes?? anyway for this image i used many 3 four layers.. altering the opacity on them to view, altered colours, sizes, exposures, used the healing tool also before putting the images all together! hope this is enough to show i have learned HEAPS about photoshop this semester.. but from all different teachers and just from playing around myself for hours on end.
im happy with photoshop, i think it is an amazing program!!

Photoshop

every time i use photoshop i find that there is always something new to learn!!! loving this program because you are able to do basically anything and everything to photos! i started out at the beginning of the year not knowing anything about photoshop, but now i feel pretty confident in the program.. i have been using it in my photography major a lot this semester, ill post some photos to show how my skills have developed!!
the lab that we had with kieran was really help full in week one of semester two.. kinda opened my eyes to all the possibilities. he also made me feel a lot better by saying even though he has been using this program for like ten years, he still finds new things to do every time he uses it!!

copyright laws

CASE study one..
In 1976, ex beatle George Harrison was found guilty of copyright infringement for his hit single, "My Sweet Lord." Bright Tunes Music Corporation had obtained the copyright for the 1963 hit, "He's so Fine," which was written by Ronald Mack and originally performed by The Chiffons. Did George Harrison borrow his musical ideas from Mack's hit song?..
The two songs are similar, have the same melody.. couple of motifs the same.
the main instruments used in the songs are different though.. piano and guitar.
The songs are deffinitely different though in the tempo!! My Sweet Lord is much slower than He's so Fine!

CASE study two..
In 1986, artist Lebbus Woods took a graphite pencil and created his vision of a chair. The chair is shown inside a large chamber with a high ceiling, mounted on a wall in front of a suspended sphere, and with a visibly jointed grid forming the floor and wall.
Universal Studios released the film 12 Monkeys in December of 1995. in one of the scenes there is a chair that slides up a rail, with a sphere supported by a metal armature is suspended directly infront of the chair, was this the same chair that Woods had drawn??
They are EXTREMELY similar, im gonna go with YES!

CASE study three..
Keir Smith's work is illegal but the point he's trying to put across is that it shouldn't be!

CASE study four..
did not upload from flickr.. because they r copyright

Grid Paintings

These are the paintings i'm working on at the moment for our grid project in painting class BFA stage two!! its all about the space between the paintings and the lines on the boards. i want it to represent a landscape, and the grid fits into it because a landscape has meeting lines at the sky, sea and land. you also can't always see parts of the landscape, hence the meaning of the gaps and the boards not fitting together to make one perfect line to line painting!!

drawing sound

drawing sound.. this is relevant because this is our assignment in drawing at the moment. its amazing the shapes and what not you get the urge to draw when you are told to draw the sound.

Grids are what we're studying in painting at Otago Polytechnic BFA Stage Two at the moment.. this is an amazing and different example of a grid!!

...technology! confusing! but so useful.. once you have a lesson and get your head around computers they can be used for pretty much everything! find information on people, have writting that you can't actually do by hand, enables you to talk to people all around the world!! amazing!
